And Normality Restored.

We settled on the paint colour, Florentine Red. The Medici gene and/or delusions of grandeur.

Much of it will be hidden by tiling.

Delivery day. Bit like Christmas but with  more hassle.

The job underway

All units in, but for the quartz worktop. The space it will cover was measured by laser. It was manufactured in Darlington and delivered from Worcester.  But something is missing.

And here it is. the beast, the Leviathan, my pride and joy. Every now and again it emits a comforting purring sound

The work top. I'm rather liking the Florentine Red.
Perhaps something Sistine on the ceiling . . . ?

And finally, the tiled kitchen from every conceivable angle. Property porn. Mea Culpa. But we've earned it.

I know, it's bit like a missing tooth. The combi microwave/oven is missing.
It's probably still in Germany waiting for its Chinese microchips. A first world problem and perhaps more in the pipeline

Ignore the debris.

It's gorgeous. I love the gray and burgundy.

One thing to note. We have a Samsung too. The ice maker worked fine at first, but eventually the ice would get stuck and wouldn't drop. We had a long term warranty with them so we had the repairman come out several times and he even replaced the motor to the ice maker. It helped for a while, but it's back to lodging and not dropping ice. Greg goes in there every couple of weeks and picks the clogged ice out.

Here's wishing you cooked meals and stress free ice.

I'm so pleased you like it, Maria. And thank you for the ice making tip. At the moment it's switched off at the moment because it was making more ice than we could consume. I'll use it sparingly and hope it works out. Like you, we have a long term warranty, so hopefully fingers crossed

A few echoes there, moment/hope/ I blame it on the spinning wheel of death that slowed me down and distracted me. I hate the spinning wheel of death on the apple
