Is this where you live? It's very pretty. ...and chilly. How long do your winters last?

It is pretty - you and Greg must come one day - especially in Summer when everything is golden and green. (execpt when it's raining, then its just grey and green) Ref chilly, cold by Texan standards minus 4 degrees, probably balmy by Tweed standards : )

Beautiful. Can Maria bring me, too?

If I lived where you live and if my living room were that beautiful, I would never try to find a way out of there! How have I always wanted my house to have large windows looking out on the woods, and you have it! You have what seems from one photo to be a small pond. Is it?
It makes me like the snow, which I learned to hate up over here.

Linda, you're always welcome. I'm priviliged to live in such wonderful countryside. I might do a post one day showing the Liverpool terraces I grew up in - and which are still beautiful to me.

Hi Jay, you sound like you think I live in a grand house. I don't. I live in grand countryside. We moved from a much larger house in Newport surrounded by other large houses. Now we live in a much smaller house - but in the Garden of Eden : )

Hilary, thank you. I'm already enjoying the week end, coffee brewing whilst I'm writing this. You're right. The English/Welsh country lane is wonderful. This particular lane starts in Wales and ends up in England : )

Wow some great scenery for the snow. Sometimes snow just makes an already beautiful scene that much more beautiful!

Beautiful photos, but I'm hoping it heats up before I go to Berlin.

LOVE, love, love these pics! We had a snowstorm yesterday. I love the fluffy or powder snow not the wet one which is the slush type ;) Isn't it amazing snow can be categorized in 5 types and snowflakes in 15?

What beautiful photos. I love our countryside and a good snowfall makes it look even more breathtaking. So pretty.

I could be wrong but I don't think pictures of the Liverpool terraces will have the same appeal. :) Having said that, Liverpool is one of my favourite cities.

Michael, hi, and thanks for dropping in. I think for me, snow is great when it is crispy enough to line the branches to create that illusion of white foliage.

Misha, Europe is in thrall to snow, too. When are you going, holiday or business?

Claudia, I read somewhere the Eskimo have a hundred words for snow. Canadians must come a close second : )

Shirley, of course Liverpool is one of your favourite cities. You are a lady of impeccable taste!
